Where to Go Out for a Good Time

Just because the cold season is now upon us, doesn’t mean we have to stay locked up at home in the evening, right? It really doesn’t! Here are a few cool places where you can go out for a fun and entertaining time in Brome-Missisquoi.

For a drink, to meet people, to enjoy a show, to listen to music. . . Here are some not-to-be-missed places in the Eastern Townships to have a really great evening.

Beat & Betteraves

Located in the charming village of Frelighsburg, the Café Beat & Betteraves is the gathering spot of amateurs of good food and good music. A very welcoming place offering a healthy and affordable menu made mostly with local products, the café also welcomes up-and-coming artists from near and far. However, you must reserve quickly because the shows are highly popular and are rapidly sold out. An eclectic musical menu set in an intimate ambiance, we can’t ask for anything better than this!

Sutton Brouërie

One thing is certain, for drinking a glass of (excellent) beer among friends, this is THE place to go.

The friendly atmosphere, the well-decorated surroundings and their delicious menu come together to offer you a moment to let go and relax and simply feel good. Add to this, their Friday night jazz performances with guest musicians every week! Psst! Check the different packages offered by the establishment if you wish to spend the night.

Brasserie Dunham

The Dunham brewery brings together under one roof many things. . . Renowned beers, of course, but also a pub menu and a gastronomical menu as well, a small stage for their guest performers, a lovely terrace for nice weather days, and even hostel-style rooms for those who wish to extend their stay, to take advantage of the surrounding area.

Even if the brewery was founded only 7 years ago, over this short period of time, it has become a well-established institution in the hearts of all the locals.

Don’t miss their classic baby foot tournaments and their “bottle release” events.

The Archipel, in Cowansville

The Restaurant and café is, by itself, a true health break you offer yourself. Besides its essentially organic dishes (organic penne noodles with an eggplant sauce, veggie chili, shiitake burgers . . . Mmm!), the Archipel also proposes musical and poetry performances, sometimes yoga and even cooking classes. For a very sweet moment, rich in flavour and authentic, this is the place to be.

MacIntosh pub, in Bromont

Sitting with a few of your best friends with a pint and a plate loaded with cheddar and bacon nachos. . . Isn’t this the way to perfectly end the day or to celebrate friends coming together or perhaps to spend a Saturday evening?

You can also come together here for a meal or a musical evening with their guest folk singers. Note, that the menu here is irresistible! The pasta, the pizzas and burgers all have something extra added; you can also opt for their smoked duck orzo risotto or yet again their sweetly coated spare ribs!
