SIX APRÈS-SKI SPOTS IN THE EASTERN TOWNSHIPS

Indulging in après-ski activities is a great way to extend your fabulous day on the slopes, and for me, hitting the après-ski scene is part of the pleasures of winter. Fortunately, Brome-Missisquoi has a wide range of places to go to relax, chat with

friends or feast on whatever food you’re in the mood for.

BROMONT

If you go skiing at the largest lit skiable area in North America, here are a few après-ski bars where you can always count on having a good time:

Brouemont

Founded in 2004, this pub is a favourite spot for locals and skiers that come from outside the area to enjoy a well-deserved respite after an active day on the slopes. Brouemont’s features include some 20 house craft beers and delicious home-cooked meals with their variety of brews.

And it’s also noteworthy that Brouemont is an appropriate place to go, whether you’re a beer connoisseur or to have a family meal.

Edgar Hyperlodge

Edgar Hyperlodge is the ultimate place to go for anyone seeking a festive and fine-food spot.

The kitchens are open late into the evening, providing you with plenty of time to enjoy your après-ski time by savouring one of the suggested meals combined with one of the West Shefford beers that are brewed on site. And, if you feel like it, stay up until the wee hours of the morning displaying your talents on the dance floor!

Bistro-bar La Débarque

As the holder of many season-passes to Bromont, a mountain-full of experiences, I’ve often set down my board close to La Débarque to watch the hockey game, have a beer with my friend or simply for a brief respite between runs down the ski hill.

Located in the Versant du Village chalet, the bistro offers pizzas, burgers, salads, sandwiches and snacks in a friendly, easy-going manner.

SUTTON

An idyllic town for skiers, Sutton not only has a well-regarded mountain to unwind from the chaos of the city, it also boasts cozy and cordial places to bask in the joys of après-ski activities.

Auberge Sutton Brouërie

The inn, which opened last summer, has an impressive selection of beers that come from Québec’s leading microbreweries. You can also enhance your favourite beverage with one of their delicious meals for a rousing après-ski experience.
Combine convenience with pleasure by reserving the SKI-DODO-SKI package that allows you to ski on the mountain and then stay in one of their loft-style rooms.

Microbrasserie À L’Abordage

Set in the heart of downtown Sutton, the microbrewery À L’Abordage charms skiers with its tasty beers and sumptuous burgers. Children are also in for a special treat with the menu items designed especially for them, whether they have a hankering for poutine, a grilled cheese sandwich or chicken fingers.

Bar le Tucker

Located in Mont Sutton’s main chalet, the Tucker offers a laid-back après-ski ambiance. Among the notable activities scheduled this winter are “Open Mic” Thursdays with Christopher Clarke and Friday music nights.

With its breath-taking views, cozy fireplace and rustic décor, the Tucker is sure to please every sliding-sport enthusiast.

Have a great ski season! Looking forward to meeting you on the ski slopes or in one of these popular après-ski spots!
