Christmas Markets to Visit in 2022

Our classic Eastern Townships Christmas markets are back! It will be such a joy to meet our local artisans, discover their work, and stock up on gifts and food in preparation for the Holiday Season. Here’s an overview of the Christmas markets to visit in 2022 in the Brome-Missisquoi region.

The Sutton Christmas Market

Sutton’s traditional Christmas Market will welcome you for two weekends, November 26 and 27, and December 3 and 4. Dozens of artisans and producers will be present here.

Cowansville’s Christmas Market

The Cowansville Christmas Market will return to the enchanting site of the Center de la nature (225 chemin de la Plage). Several artisans will gather here, in a truly magical setting, on December 2, 3 and 4.

Festif Bromont

The entire Vieux-Village sector will offer a Christmas Market ambiance during the town’s Festif Bromont event. On December 3 and 4, Bromont’s public square will be bustling with musical entertainment, light shows and an outdoor wine bar, as several boutiques welcome local artisans to their shops.

Farnham’s Christmas Market

December 10 and 11 , Farnham’s Station Pierre-Berriau will host a gourmet market gathering several producers and artisans. To celebrate the moment, the building will be decorated with lights and an outdoor fireplace.

Midnight Madness in the Town of Brome-Lake

Bome-Lake’s traditional Midnight Madness will be back this year on December 10. While the town’s downtown boutiques extend their opening hours on this day, you’ll also be able to enjoy Coldbrook Park’s Garden of Magic Lanterns and, right across the street, the Sentier Féerique walking path.

Dunham’s Marché de Noël des Pas Pressés and the Frelighsburg Christmas Market

As usual, last-minute shoppers will be able to count on these markets to complete their purchases. The Dunham Christmas market will welcome you at the Espace Dunham and Frelighsburg’s market will be held at the Bishop Stewart Memorial Church. Both will take place on December 17 and 18.

Other Events to Add to Your Calendar

December 3 and 4, several winemakers of the region will participate in the Route des vins “Holiday Special”. These vineyards, besides their festive decorations, are proposing several activities such as wine and food pairings, thematic tours, gifts and outdoor entertainment. The timing will be perfect to fill your provision baskets with bottles to enhance your Holiday celebrations.

The second edition of the Petit Salon du Livre de Sutton will be held on Saturdays, December 3, 10 and 17, 2022, from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the École d’art de Sutton. You’ll find books for the entire family, meet some of the region’s authors, and attend book signing sessions.
