Saturday morning: are you the nature-challenge or the treasure hunter type? A bit of both?

Early Risers, get your heart pumping by going for a sunrise hike on one of the several trails operated by the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton (P.E.N.S.).

9 h 30: A few minutes from town, nestled at an altitude of 1000 feet with its unbelievable views, Au Diable Vert proposes high flying excitement with its canopy cycling or contemplative relaxation with its river kayaking, SUP or tubing on the quiet Missisquoi.

We suggest you try their take-out meals for a gourmet picnic on your way to one of the Sutton Heritage Tours. Why not combine your interest in history with your taste for fine wines by taking the Rural Trail. 18 h: The Auberge des Appalaches is a must for your last evening: Chef John Kostuik entices us with flavours unique to Sutton’s nature with a menu selected with care and finesse as local products take the centre stage.

Sunday, day of rest!

Set the mood for your day by enjoying the sweet delight of an early morning brunch. Both Le Pleasant and L’Auberge des Appalaches have appetizing and original offerings to gently awaken your senses.

You are now ready for a second day of exploration as you begin the Plein Art Walking Circuit of the five art galleries of the village. You will discover the sublime inspiration this region procures its Artists. All along the way, you won’t be able to resist the local boutiques with all their original products.

Perhaps you will be tempted to discover Les Rochers Bleus’ golf course with its magnificient views.l

As the afternoon approaches, it’s time to for a relaxing lunch. Le Cafetier presents a menu with everybody in mind: soups, salads, sandwiches and more, all served in a most delightful atmosphere.

Throughout your stay, take the time to check Sutton’s events calendar. There is always something going on: Country fairs and markets, the Tour des Arts in mid-July, the Traditional Fiddle Festival in August, or special exhibits such as the lives of Les Frères Vachons at Sutton’s Musée d’histoire et des communications.
