Nature, forests, biodiversity, lakes and mountains, we have so many kilometres of trails for outdoors enthusiasts!

Located only an hour’s drive from Montreal, right at the border of the picturesque Eastern Townships, Bromont stands out among hikers and nature lovers due to is proximity, the amazing landscapes and the variety of terrain that visitors can explore here.

With 140 km of trails, the Parc des Sommets offers several hiking options spread across the different sectors established here (The Mountain, Mount Oak, the Lake Gale, the Villageois and the Mount Berthier). Several belvederes and picnic tables have also been placed in strategic areas, allowing visitors to relax as they enjoy breathtaking views the surrounding region.

The trails are well marked but it’s a good idea to download the free “ONDAGO” locator application on your smart phone.

The access to the trails is free for Bromont’s residents (proof of residence required via Bciti). Fees for non-Bromont’s residents is donated to the organization Les Amis des Sentiers who are the only ones to ensure the sustainability to protect, maintain and develop the trails.

Dogs on a leash are permitted at all times on most of our trails, except for the Lake Gale (conservation zone).

As you walk along the trails, you’ll enjoy reading the differents interpretation panels which describe the surrounding fauna, flora and the current ecological situation; a little reminder from Mother Nature to help you learn more about our environment.

The Lake Gale Area is a conservation zone offering abundant and interesting wildlife with an impressive ornithologic and floristic diversity. This area is liked by many hikers due to the 15 kilometres of trails set inside a truly enchanting landscape. Visitors can access to a magnificent cascade, a lake and, when they reach the summit of Mount Gale, an amazing view overlooking the domain.

The Mountain Area offers more than 50 kilometres of trails for all hiking levels. Lately we’ve built several belvederes on the summits of Mounts Bernard, Horizon and Spruce where visitors can enjoy amazing panoramas.

Join us for a family getaway or an outing among friends as you explore the splendours of the Parc des Sommets’s trails.
