Adélard

Adélard is an organization working in the field of contemporary art whose mission is to bring together artists and citizens. Its activities include artist residencies, exhibitions and educational creative workshops. Adélard puts forward an approach to art that is accessible, human, open to the community and respectful of sustainable development.

Its artist residencies are open to the public every weekend from May to September. They take place in a heritage barn in the heart of the village of Frelighsburg and are an opportunity to discover the work in progress of an artist in his workshop.

In 2024, alongside his artist residencies, Adélard is presenting 3 exhibitions on the theme of water:

– an outdoor exhibition of mobile and floating sculptures by Maude Arès, on a pond in Frelighsburg (until October 14, 2024)
– an exhibition of video and sound art by Pascale Théorêt-Groulx at the Adélard barn (September 28 – November 3)
– the Vues du fleuve exhibition which presents works from the Loto-Québec Collection placed in dialogue with texts by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and Manon Barbeau (September 28 – November 3)
