Welcome to the emerging organic vineyard and the family-run enterprise Les <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soeursracines.com\/\">S\u0153urs Racines<\/a>. The offer: fresh air and good food!<\/p>\n<p>When they left the macadam and their 4 \u00bd in the Saint-Henri district of Montr\u00e9al, environmentalist Sophie B\u00e9lair Hamel and sommelier Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ouellet-Lacroix established their sandbox in <a href=\"https:\/\/tourismebrome-missisquoi.ca\/attraits\/saint-ignace-de-stanbridge\/\">Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge<\/a>. Motivated by food self-sufficiency (pre-pandemic version!), by the quest for their life\u2019s purpose and by their lasting attachment to the diversified terroir here, with the help of some family capital, Sophie and Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric bought this eight-bedroom country house. In fact, three of these bedrooms are located in a self-contained unit, capable of accommodating eight people or two families of four. This spring, they\u2019ll be planting more vines. The area will cover three hectares, almost the size of an average Qu\u00e9bec vineyard. Muscadet, Chardonnay, Gew\u00fcrztraminer, Pinot noir, Seyval, Frontenac Gris, their rustic, semi-rustic or non-hardy varieties are expected to produce some interesting, lively and floral blends. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric is especially inspired and mentored by the well-known Farnham vineyard, Vignoble Les Pervenches. This pioneer of natural wines is a personal favourite of Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric, Sophie, and Mike and V\u00e9ro as well. Along with their collaboration with Les Pervenches, to facilitate their work, and to bring about beautiful encounters, the couple has established several partnerships; Here with the Dunham Brewery to add a touch of wine to one of their brews; There with chef \u00c9ric Gendron of the Coin Meigs (Saint-Armand), allowing guests to reserve a supper directly at Les S\u0153urs Racines\u2019s B &amp; B. \u201cBecause of the pandemic and the imposed confinement, we really feel the need to reconnect with people, to share, and exchange with one another,\u201d explains Sophie.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following a diversified ecosystem, a human-scale ecosystem!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plants, animals, but also, and above all, a lot of human spirit.
