If Brome-Missisquoi (Estrie) is the birthplace of Quebec\u2019s viticulture, with more than 20 vineyards on its Route des vins<\/a>, beer amateurs aren\u2019t left behind with our microbreweries constantly reinventing themselves with each new brew. Furthermore, many of our microbreweries also offer a most attractive restaurant proposal. Cheers!<\/p>\n

Farnham Ale & Lager<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

We immediately recognize beers made by Farnham Ale & Lager with their numbers referring to their bitterness level (IBU). During the summer you can enjoy their beer on the terrace of their tasting parlour as you savour a 12, their Hefeweizen, a white beer, or their 42, a summer pale ale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brasserie Dunham<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

Established in the birthplace of Quebec\u2019s wine industry (The Eastern Townships), this brewery will satisfy every taste with its selection of more than 65 beers available in their boutique. I\u2019m personally a fan of Viti Vini Vici, barrel aged for one season and elaborated each year with grape marc provided by different vineyards. If you have a little time, relax awhile on their terrace and savour a pint while you enjoy a simple dish made with local products such as their veggie burger they make with vegetables from the gardens of La Grelinette, located in Saint-Armand.<\/p>\n

Les brasseurs de West Shefford<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

This microbrewery has given itself the mission to produce unsteriotyped beers. Today we can say they\u2019ve accomplished what they set out to do with their \u201cCette sorte-l\u00e0\u201d, a light blond summer beer, or their \u201cPretty Bastard\u201d, a full-bodied stout with a good coffee taste. Even if guided tours are still not possible, I suggest to still head out to Bromont and reserve a table at Edgar Hyperlodge<\/a>, the brewery\u2019s pub restaurant. It\u2019s THE place to be for a hot apr\u00e8s-ski. My friends are unconditional when it comes to the mac\u2019n cheese with extra bacon!<\/p>\n

Le Brouemont<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

Le Brouemont is a Bromont institution where they\u2019ve been brewing a great variety of artisanal beers since 2004. I especially appreciate their IPAs and their fruit brewed beers. It\u2019s also a pub restaurant where it\u2019s difficult to choose among the 13 poutine suggestions or 19 burgers you\u2019ll find on the menu!<\/p>\n

La Knowlton Co<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cLife is rough, beer is smooth\u201d is the motto of this Knowlton brewery. By offering beers that will delight amateurs as much as connoisseurs, the owners wish to take your mind away from the daily grind. Visitors return here over and over again to have a good time while enjoying a pizza baked in their wood-burning oven. In the summer you can take advantage of the terrace inspired by German biergartens. In my fridge, there\u2019s always a West Coast IPA for the Man of the house, and a traditional raspberry Cream Ale for me!<\/p>\n

When you next go to Sutton, drop by this microbrewery which has given itself a new vocation at the Dyer-Shepard<\/a> Store<\/u>, a heritage building<\/p>\n

Auberge Sutton Brouerie<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

An unforgettable epicurean experience awaits when you enter La\u00a0Brouerie with their unique and original beers with names inspired by the local folklore. In fact, who has never seen a wild turkey on Scenic Road or gone down the Sutton-ik on Mount Sutton? Added to this discover their bistronomic<\/em> table elaborated with local products. In the summer I love sharing the hiker\u2019s aperitif board while watching the river flow by from the open windows of their backroom.<\/p>\n

Beat & Betterave\u2019s nano-brewery<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

This village restaurant proposes an unpretentious local cuisine along with music concerts, film projections and other cultural events. We can now also enjoy their eight different beer selections brewed in their basement nano-brewery. These pair perfectly with their garden vegetable pizza!<\/p>\n

Le Sage Brasseur<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n

The latest newcomer to the region\u2019s brewing industry has established itself in downtown Cowansville. Of the ten beers produced here, six are named in honour of Cowansville. You\u2019ll especially remember<\/p>\n

  • Coco beach, a bohemian pilsner, referring to the town\u2019s beach,<\/li>\n
  • la\u00a0Sweetsburg, an amber rye ale saluting the sector of town set along Lake Davignon,<\/li>\n
