By car or on by bicycle, take your time as you visit the locations marked on the Route des vins and prepare yourself for a unique experience in the birthplace of Quebec\u2019s winemaking industry. The majority of the region\u2019s vineyards have installed picnic areas on their properties so visitors can bring their meals and enjoy this quiet environment and renew their energy.<\/p>\n<p>More precisely, I suggest you take a detour by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quebec\u2019s oldest vineyard, the Domaine des\u00a0C\u00f4tes d\u2019Ardoises to admire its sculpture exhibition, the charming gardens and its historical buildings.<\/li>\n<li>The terrace at L\u00e9on Courville, vigneron in the Town of Brome Lake, with an incredible view overlooking the Orford, Glen, Echo, Owl\u2019s Head and Sutton mountains.<\/li>\n<li>Val Caudalies and the exceptional panorama the property offers as you take in the adjacent valley, Mount Pinacle and the Green Mountains.<\/li>\n<li>The inner courtyard of the Clos Ste-Croix, a true oasis you\u2019ll find right in the centre of the village of Dunham.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Stanbridge East<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11484\" src=\"https:\/\/tourismebrome-missisquoi.ca\/app\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IDM_4128_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"867\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Considered as being among the most beautiful villages of Quebec, Stanbridge East offers a clear change of scenery with its New England inspired architectural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>When you stop for a picnic in the park by the Pike River, just in front of the Missisquoi Museum, established inside an old mill dating back to 1830, you\u2019ll immerse yourself in your surroundings. This olden day ambiance will certainly charm you.<\/p>\n<p>Only a few kilometres further down the road, you can also enjoy your picnic in a natural setting by the Walbridge Barn in the delightful hamlet of Mystic.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The R\u00e9serve Naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes \u2014 The Singer Sector<\/h2>\n<p>The R\u00e9serve Naturelle des\u00a0Montagnes-Vertes is without question a true natural jewel of the region. The R\u00e9serve is an integral part of the magnificent Appalachian Mountain Range.<\/p>\n<p>With its rich and diversified environment, it offers several trails that lead to the top of Mount Singer (810 metres) where you\u2019ll discover a breathtaking panorama.<\/p>\n<p>The starting point for Mount Singer is situated at the end of Ruiter Brook Road in the Township of Potton. An amazing find for all nature lovers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Douglass Beach<\/h2>\n<p>Near the village of Knowlton, Douglass Beach is a must for a family picnic.<\/p>\n<p>The beach offers a safe swimming area, a volleyball court, access to walking trails and a canteen so small and tall can enjoy a delightful day. Many picnic tables have made available.
