When we think of March break in Qu\u00e9bec, we immediately think of winter sports: downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking… Of course, you\u2019ll find all these in Brome-Missisquoi, but the region also has some well-kept winter secrets. Here are a few suggestions for some quite unique family activities for guaranteed rosy cheeks and loads of fun!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ride the Slopes on a Yooner<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever tried riding a yooner? This glide sport was brought here directly from France\u2019s Haute-Savoie region, and can only be practised at the Mount SUTTON<\/a> ski resort! Imagine a small luge fitted with a seat\u00a020\u00a0cm from the ground, a mini-ski, with a suspension and a brake handle. The concept is quite simple: You sit on the saddle and control the vehicle with your hips as you direct your turns with your arms; To slow down you use your feet or the brake handle! It\u2019s somewhat like pretending to fly while surfing on the snow! A sport as easy as it is entertaining, for 8-year-olds and up.<\/p>\n

Otherwise, you can also pull on your skates and head out on the ice oval at In the town of Brome Lake. Enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and warm up by the outdoor fireplace. From the beach, you can also snowshoe or cross-country ski your way to the town of Knowlton by following the Coldbrook Path. Whether you\u2019re already a fan or just curious about this winter sport, you will find something to please you! Plein Air Sutton<\/a> offers 15 kilometers of forest trails and a large fleet of brand new rental bikes. The Parc des\u00a0Sommets<\/a> offers about twenty trails on the Village, Mount Oak and the Mountain networks for a total of nearly 50\u00a0km of marked trails! Follow your progress in real time via the AllTrails or ONDAGO applications. Different size fatbikes (from junior to extra-large) can be rented here and includes your daily access.<\/p>\n
