Here’s an itinerary for outdoor sports lovers who wish to immerse themselves inside nature and really build up a sweat.
Day 1 - Mountain Biking in Bromont
Head out to the Parc des Sommets de Bromont
which counts nearly 100 km of trails. Many among them are accessible for mountain bikes. Beginners will want to start with the Mount-Oak trails, while the more experienced can try the downhill trails of Bromont, montagne d’expériences.
You can rent a bike by going to Bromont, montagne d’expériences
or at UBAC cycle shop
If you’re not a cycling fan, you can try your hand at bouldering at the Centre d’escalade Backbone
or introduce yourself to track cycling by going to the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont.
End your day in one of Bromont’s two microbreweries.
Day 2—An Outing in Sutton
The Parc d’Environnement Naturel de Sutton
is a true paradise for amateurs of the great outdoors. There’s the classic Round Top trail, but outdoor enthusiasts will also want to hike the Grande tournée des lacs trail
which covers almost 11.5 km. Reserve at least 5 hours for this hike.
Day 3—Unwind on the Missisquoi River
After two days of intense physical activity, we suggest a more relaxing one: Going down the Missisquoi River, a very sinuous river with a slow flow and offer yourself the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains. You can either, kayak or paddleboard (SUP) your way down the river.
Both Au Diable Vert
and Canoë & Cie
offer equipment rentals and a shuttle service. All you’ll need to do is to let yourself drift down the current.
