For the past ten years, from June to September, the Farnham Farmers’s market has been displaying a delicious variety of gourmet products. Andréanne Samson is responsible for the market organization and has offered us some of her personal favourites.

“For this, our 11th edition, visitors will find more free offers than before, inflatable games and maple taffy as well,” says Andréanne. “Between 10 and 15 merchants will be present at the market and I believe they could all be on my list of personal favourites! However, just to give you an idea of what you’ll find, here are four producers I especially appreciate…”

Kessler Orchard

“Their boutique is so nice and the variety of products offered are truly very interesting,” says Andréanne, “for example, their jams and their pies … what a delight!” You can also purchase prepared meals, meat pies, spaghetti sauce, Dijonaise pork and many more such treats.”

The orchard also offers you the possibility to pick your own fruit: apples, of course, but also pears and plums. Picnic tables, a mini-farm and tractor-pulled wagon rides complete their generous offer.

La Ferme des trois Samson Farm

The farm offers an abundance of certified organic fruits and vegetables (strawberries, cantaloupes, root vegetables, celery, cabbages…), “as well as the possibility of subscribing to their weekly home-delivered baskets,” adds Andréanne. “They also offer herbs, honey and maple syrup, so many varied, fresh and savoury products for you to try!” They will welcome their customers to their Market stand every Saturday. “You can also go directly to their farm to buy their “for quick sale products,” explains Andréanne. “You’ll find a big refrigerator in which you can choose what you need and just leave the money there.”

Élisa Signature

“Elisa is a floral designer who creates absolutely amazing floral arrangements!” says Andréanne. “This is her second participation and her creations are truly very beautiful.” It’s also an address to remember for your wedding plans. Plus, she also offers workshops,” adds Andréanne, “for example, to create terrariums, floral arrangements, table centrepieces or Christmas wreaths.”

Les Jardins nourriciers Bleu Vert

Using the basics of permaculture, Les Jardins Nouriciers gardens offer products and services you’ll learn about as you meet with them at the market or by making an appointment at the gardens. For example, if you wish to create a nourishing vegetable or floral garden, you could benefit from their wise advice. The gardens also have an online boutique, where you can make your provisions.

“This is their first participation in the market and they will be present only for the first two Saturdays,” says Andréanne, “but I’m convinced they will be quite popular.”
