48 hours in Bromont in the wintertime

Thinking of coming to this part of the Townships for a weekend but need some help planning your days here? No problem, here are some ideas that will make your stay even more enjoyable.

Friday, early evening: Head to the Balnéa, spa and thermal reserve.  You have until 10 p.m. to enjoy the thermal baths and the many places on the premises where you can relax and unwind. Maybe you already thought of making a reservation for a treatment – massage, body wrap, facial, manicure, etc. – either before or after you’ve had a nice meal at the highly regarded Lumami restaurant. How about some smoked duck ham with a zesty fire cider from the Union Libre vineyard? And for a place to sleep, you undoubtedly have already made a reservation in one of the delightful inns or nearby hotels.

Saturday. After getting your day off to a rousing start with one of the finest cups of coffee in the area, at Café 1792, you’re well prepared for a day on the ski slopes. In ideal conditions, Bromont, montagnes d’expériences enables you to ski on 142 trails, including 32 glades and six snow parks, and you can enjoy 102 lighted trails if you don’t want to leave wen the sun sets! A word of advice: take a break frrom skiing for a refreshing beer at Edgar Hyperlodge, the great après-ski spot! And make it a point to go and eat in one of the delicious restaurants in the area, such as the Cellier du Roi (the wine list is signed Jérôme Ferrer) or Bistro Le 633.

Sunday. Two suggestions for Sunday morning: the Musée du chocolat (museum) or the Canaël bakery. In both cases, you won’t be able to resist giving your taste buds a treat. Milk chocolate-banana crêpes, waffles, puff pastry…gets your mouth watering already, doesn’t it?

After you’re reenergized, head over to the Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont cycling centre to try out fatbike! Whether you’re there as a couple, with friends or family, everyone can indulge in the experience. You can rent a bike on site and ride on the 3-4 kilometres devoted to this sport, which is growingly popular among bike enthusiasts. And if you still feel energetic before heading home, stop at the Tanger Outlets in Bromont and spend an hour or so shopping!

Now, isn’t that a fun-filled weekend? Rest assured, we’ve got loads of other ideas that will have you coming back here, again and again and again.
